Artist’s Statement: Inside Out was worked and reworked by adding and subtracting layers of paint and paper, by covering and uncovering images many times over. The course the work took dictated itself, as what was inside me was allowed to interact with what was happening on the canvas. The resulting ordered chaos reflects issues paramount to me at the time: love, beauty, power, strife…our times.
