About the artists

Diana Cisneros

Diana was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. Born during 2008 her family went into business influencing her life forever. Growing up in her family’s furniture business, Diana would spend hours after school drawing and coloring for fun whenever she had the time. Since childhood she would just draw and sketch with pens, pencils and markers but since joining AFH, paints, pastel with canvases became her medium. Now just painting or drawing was her art but also things like colllages and digital artworks have broadened her perspective of art.

I try to have an open mind wherever I start a painting so I dont consider myself to have a specific style especially since I’m always trying to do something different all the time. A lot of times, my sense of self has reflected in my art whether that be the things around me or what is happening with me. Everyday my connections with art and the people here at AFH are who motivated me to work. Everyone around me teaches me everyday how to improve and grow both artistically or as a human being.

Yaron Rodriguez

Yaron, a 17-year-old artist from Puerto Rico, has always been captivated by the world of colors. As a child, he spent countless hours contemplating the hues on the walls around him, finding them both strange and mysteriously appealing. Over time, Yaron's fascination grew into a deep understanding and appreciation for every shade, no matter how dark, bright, or vibrant.
This lifelong passion for color led Yaron to become a painter, dedicated to bringing these unique and special hues to life. His mission is to transform every wall and space, no matter how small, into a canvas of joy and beauty. Through his art, Yaron aims to evoke emotions and spread happiness, filling the world with the vibrant colors that have always brightened his own life.

Through my art, I strive to evoke deep emotions and connect with the public. Initially, my art was a personal endeavor, crafted solely for my own appreciation. However, I have since felt a growing desire to share my creations with others. Each piece begins with careful consideration of color schemes and the mood I wish to convey, forming the foundation of my work. Sometimes, my imagination leads the way, sparking ideas before I even think about colors or emotions. This spontaneity is the essence of art—the unpredictable magic that unfolds when I pick up a pencil or brush. My goal is to create pieces that are not only emotionally resonant but also visually stunning and vibrant. I want my art to be accessible and appreciated by everyone, regardless of their age or familiarity with art. Whether it’s a middle-aged observer, an elderly viewer, or someone with little to no art knowledge, I hope my work offers something beautiful and meaningful to all

Santiago Vergara Mora

Santiago or Santi, is a Colombian-born artist living in Boston. His subjects center on portraiture, combining bold imagination and precise detail to capture the exterior forms and interior emotions of his subjects. Drawing inspiration from his Colombian roots and the world around him, Santi explores themes regarding identity, culture, and self-discovery through his art.

My interest is in portraiture as a means of exploring the richness of identity and emotional complexity. I want to paint portraits that are more than representational, drawing the viewer into the inner world of the individuals I portray. From both my Colombian heritage and my existence in exile, I find inspiration to approach each painting with a new vision, infusing imagination and close observation. Through my artwork, I hope to provoke reflection and emotional connection.
