Yosmelie is a teen artist at Artists for Humanity. A Boston native, she has been making art for 3 years. Her goals are to make her work more noticeable by working on bigger surfaces, improve her skills, and have people feel motivated and inspired by her work.

I am an abstract artist, meaning that when I think of ideas for a painting, I try to make it unique. When coming up with ideas, I think through my imagination and draw what comes to mind. A year ago I started making art pieces and taking it more seriously. Before taking art seriously, I was drawing just for fun. I then realized that I enjoy doing art, and my family members took notice of my work. I got some canvases and paints and started making my first art piece. Now painting has helped me improve my skills and get my work noticed more.
