Karen McClure (American, 1959)
Karen McClure has wandered the world with a camera loaded with Kodak film, capturing moments for most of her life. Crafting these negatives into art became a passion. After many courses at Glassell School of Art and guidance from other skilled instructors she will now actually show those pictures to people besides family.
Recent work features some of her favorite subjects: trees; lava; sand dunes and Route 66. Karen's work has seen publication in "Houston. It's Worth It." Her work was accepted into juried shows including FotoFest and Kinder Morgan shows, Texture and Creatures. She also sold work at The Downtown Art Gallery in Brenham.
A move to Burton, TX provided the space for a darkroom/studio and the opportunity to participate in 2tiny gallery. She is enjoying having a life full of art.
