Officially recognized as a UK National Treasure, they’ve featured extensively in international print and social media and have been been used in numerous advertising campaigns as far afield as China, Australia and the USA. In 2016 Andy and his manager wife, Dutch architect Hanneke Scott-van Wel moved to Philadelphia PA under the exceptional artistic talent visa program and established their current fully-equipped 6,000 sq ft workshop studio space in the city. From there they now work across the USA and internationally.
Andy’s accolades and recognition continues: in 2019 he was awarded the “Great Scot” award by the National Trust for Scotland USA, and has recently been appointed as a “GlobalScot” by the Scottish Enterprise government agency in his native country: acting as an overseas cultural and business ambassador for the nation. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and a member of The Royal Society of British Sculptors.
